Tasting notes
Far more impressive prior to bottling, l'Evangile's 1992 has turned out to be a fruity, medium-bodied, soft, shallow wine that exhibits light body, hard tannin, and an obvious deficiency of both fruit and depth. Given the fine potential this wine displayed in cask, I wonder whether this is one more 1992 that was eviscerated at bottling? It is disappointing in the context of the vineyard and the proprietor's commitment to excellence.
