The estate’s origins stretch back to the mid-18th century. Baron Eric de Rothschild first bought shares in the property in 1990, co-owning it with Madame Simone Ducasse (whose family had been at the helm since 1862) until 1998, when the Rothschilds took full control. It was from this point that the family was able to make more significant changes and investment, restoring its once prestigious reputation.
