Stewed red fruit with less clarity and precision than their Volnay Santenots 2009. Still very firm tannin that leaves a rasping finish. (RH)

Deep garnet. Spicy red fruit. Rich and attractively red-fruited on the nose. Quite dry and lacking fruit in the middle. Finishes slightly drying and flat. (JH)

Suave and rich on the nose, yet far from open and frank. Very, very dry finish. Uncompromising at this stage. Poor value. (JR)
