Straw, rather green, sulphide notes on the nose. Acacia honey with that 1988 green streak due to some underripe elements. Very firm and tastes very much of another era. Still a bit chewy and definitely 1988-like in its austerity. The vintage seems better constituted than the 1991 even if the wine is not creamy or flattering. (JR)
