Good deep red. Reticent, wild aromas of dark cherry, licorice and a whiff of wet match, which Hervet says is typical of the site and will disappear with bottle aging. Dense, sweet and fine-grained, with impressive concentration and finesse to its juicy fruit flavors. Finishes broad, classically dry and fine-grained, with suave tannins and lingering perfume. From a blend of vine ages, notes Hervet.

Low-key nose. Sweet start but not pure. Bit too sweet... (JR)
