Dusky rose in colour. On the palate you'll find tobacco, leather, marmite, iron, wet earth, grilled cedar. This has hidden power, with a real depth to the cassis and blackberry fruit. Plenty of character and old school punch, very much sliding to tertiary, but maintaining its Médoc character, and is thoroughly enjoyable. Harvest September 15 to 29. Only vintage since 1945 to have been entirely harvested in September. Raoul Blondin cellar master.
