Bright, medium green-tinged yellow. Apple seed and pungent yellow peach aromas are complicated by white pepper and smoky minerals; a note of crystallized fruits emerged with air. More tightly wound today than the Preuses, showing tangy lime and green tropical fruit flavors supported by excellent acidity and notes of wet stone and smoky silex. Refined and vibrant grand cru with terrific flavor intensity and the backbone to age.

Bright, pale yellow-green. Sexy aromas of apple, lemon, coconut and silex. Fairly fat and round on entry, then tangy and bright in the middle, with dusty saline minerality complementing the wine's green tropical fruit flavors. Finishes long and salty, with vanilla and coconut nuances.

A classic Les Clos nose of oyster shell, white flowers and wet stone leads to intensely mineral-inflected and broad-shouldered flavors that display cuts-like-a-knife delineation before culminating in a clean and very dry finish. There is a note of petrol to the finish that adds to the unmistakable Chablis character. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2017+
