Score 91/100 · Drink 2008-2020, Robert Parker, Oct 2006
A dense ruby/purple color is accompanied by aromas of smoked herbs, licorice, black raspberries, and creme de cassis. Impressive and full-bodied, but also backward and tannic, it should be at its peak between 2008-2020+. The Oliver family has been growing fruit in McLaren Vale for six generations. From their 300 acres of prime vineyards they fashion high quality Shiraz with good purity, perfumes, and textures, but no singular characteristic that makes them stand out from the crowd.
