Tasting notes
Bright red-ruby. Medicinal aromas of cherry, raspberry and mint, along with a musky nuance. Sweet and supple in the mouth, with fruit-driven flavors of red berries, cola and menthol. Nicely round and fruity, but also offers good penetration and cut, and solid underlying structure. In its slightly medicinal character, this seems more typical of its village than the Rue de Vergy. But this is approachable already owing to its richness, whereas the Rue de Vergy really needs a few years of additional bottle aging.

Full red. Very ripe aromas of red cherry and redcurrant, with surmuri notes of pineapple and orange peel. Mocha and earth flavors show a bit less delicacy and precision than the Cheneverys. Turns a bit narrower toward the back, finishing with pepper and herbal notes and tannins that are slightly dry but not aggressive.
