Score 90-92/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

An attractive array of very fresh and cool dark berry, earth and underbrush scents serves as a solidly complex introduction to the supple and relatively refined middle weight flavors. There are touches of minerality and wood influence to the dusty and mouth coating finish that delivers excellent length on the well-balanced finish. This should drink well after 4 or 5 years but require between 8 and 10 to reach its full apogee of development. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2020+
