Score 89-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2010

Deep red-ruby. Redcurrant, ripe cherry, mocha and graphite on the nose. Silky and tactile, with a deep peppery quality but a distinctly creamier texture than the Sentiers. Not especially complex or high-pitched but nicely fat, ripely tannic and persistent.
