Score 91/100 · Drink 2015-2016, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Sep 2015

There were no special cuvees produced in this vintage and the classic 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape is rock solid, with textbook mature Grenache notes of leather, garrigue, licorice and sweet blackberry fruits. Ripe, mouth filling and voluptuous, with the hallmark sweetness of fruit of the estate, it's another fully mature wine that still dishes out tons of pleasure.
