Score 89/100 · Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Aug 2019

Past peak, the 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape, made prior to the Cazes family's purchase of the estate, is bricking in color. Mushroomy on the nose and marked by notes of wine-soaked wood on the palate, this medium to full-bodied wine finishes softly dusty, slowly fading away. Drink up.
