One of the top Fronsacs year in and year out, this blend of 76% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a gorgeous, deep ruby/purple color and sweet blueberry and blackberry fruit. Nice minerality and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel make for a top-notch Fronsac in this vintage. The color is a healthy ruby/purple and the wine capable of lasting at least 10-15 years.
Attractive notes of crushed chalk, raspberries and red currant notes are present in this moderately intense Fronsac made from 75% Merlot and the rest mostly Cabernet Franc and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon. With light tannin and a slightly short finish, it is overall a decent, above average effort to consume over the next 5-6 years. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, April 2013
