Tasting notes
Score 18/20 · Drink 2005-2014, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2004

Definite smokiness – not a common champagne tasting term. Full and broad on the palate, a very assertive, relatively early-maturing wine. A great pleasure to drink now. (JR)

Full and sweet. Quite tart under neath at this point in its evolution but admirable balance of youthful components. (JR)

Leesy aromas of macadamia, walnut, toffee, ginger, brown butter, mint and spice. Rich and smooth but lively, with brisk acidity and expressive brown butter and spice notes. An elegant wine with impressive extract. Finishes smooth, gingery and long, with a youthful pungency.
