Score 15.5/20 · Drink 2014-2017, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2012
Winemaker Eric Jelgersma. 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 50 ha of vines are located over the road from the Margaux classified vines, in one parcel. Grapes are hand- and machine-harvested. The wine is cold pressed and aged in barrels for 12 months (a combination of new barrels and one- and two-year-old barrels). A bit light and thin after the Ch St Paul. OK but not such a good buy – very definitely an also-ran/offcuts. (JR)
