Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2010

(bottled the week before my visit) Bright red. Lovely aromas of spicy red fruits, flowers and a hint of licorice. Sweet, supple and accessible, showing more definition than the Clos de l'Ecu despite the recent bottling. Red fruit and mineral flavors are complicated by a savory nuance. Still, there's a medicinal seriousness here that suggests this wine will close down in the bottle.
