Score 89/100 · Drink 2020-2025, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2020

Disgorged in April 2020, this magnum of Mumm's 1999 Brut Cuvée Lalou is showing well, offering up a delicate bouquet of of toasted nuts, dried fruits and subtle hints of caramel that's fully mature but also appealing fresh in this recently disgorged release. Medium-bodied, charming and open-knit, it's pillowy and fine-boned, without huge reserves of depth or concentration but invitingly seamless and mature. This vintage was produced by Dominique Demarville during his time at Mumm.
