Henriot's 1964 Brut Millésimé is showing fabulously, offering up a complex bouquet of yellow apple, dried apricot, honeycomb, toasted brioche, waxy citrus rind and hints of iodine. Medium to full-bodied, racy and intense, its deep and discreetly rich core of fruit is complemented by a fine, remarkably lively pinpoint mousse. From a cache of bottles that belonged to a Paris restaurant, this pristine original disgorgement numbers among the very finest wines I've ever tasted from Henriot.
