Tasting notes
Quite deep ruby without much evolution. Much more introvert than the Font-Sane on the nose. Lots of juicy fruit on the palate and a clench of dry tannins on the finish. Lovely sweet fruit on the mid palate – slightly more weight than the Font-Sane. I’d keep this a little while and wait for it to bloom. (JR)

Sweet cherry, strawberry, loamy soil, and herb aromas are present in this wine’s moderately intense aromatics. Medium-bodied, elegant, restrained, and finesse-styled, it possesses excellent harmony as well as purity. Consume it over the next 7-8 years. Importer: World Shippers and Importers, Philadelphia, PA; tel. (215) 732-2018
Full red. Superripe, complex nose combines red fruits, dried herbs, pepper, chocolate, meat, flowers and spicecake. Wonderfully vinous Gigondas with archetypical flavors of roasted redcurrant and plum, tobacco, minerals and pepper. Offers lovely sweetness and texture. Classic Gigondas, even more harmonious than the 2000 example.
