(just bottled) Full red-ruby color. Extraordinarily complex nose offers berries, sappy minerality, smoked meat, chocolate, coffee and truffley underbrush. Like liquid velvet in the mouth, boasting outstanding density of texture and terrific sappy life. With its chewy texture and powerful saline impression of soil, this is less a pinot noir than a liqueur of terroir Suggestions of baked bread and roasted oak just add nuance to this singular wine.
