A brilliant white that’s a blend of just about every white variety (30% Grenache Blanc, 10% Clairette, 10% Roussanne, 10% Viognier, 10% Picpoul, 5% Marsanne, and the rest an assortment), the 2010 Domaine de la Mordorée Lirac Blanc Cuvée de la Reine des Bois is a seriously mineral-driven wine, possessing very fresh, crisp apple and citrus qualities, subtle floral notes, and boat loads of wet and crushed stone-like aromas on the nose. This is followed by a medium-bodied, balanced wine that possesses solid richness and flesh, as well as riveting acidity and cut. It should deliver the goods for a solid 2-3 years.
