Score 83/100 · Drink 2022-2023, Neal Martin, Aug 2022

The 1960 Pichon Baron has a light musty, leathery nose that is missing some fruit. It is not completely malodorous, but it does lack vigour and sparkle. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannins, fine weight but one-dimensional, what feels like heavily chaptalized on the finish. Tasted at the Pichon Baron Ancienne Millésime tasting.
