Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006
Moderately saturated medium red. Cherry, spice and licorice on the nose. Then sweet, lush and silky; fat and solid in the context of this cellar in 2004. Clean and intensely flavored, finishing with sweet tannins and very good length. This was the least hailed-on vineyard in 2004, said Boillot, but still 60% of the vines were hit by one or another of the storms.
