Tasting notes
A bit dull and smudgy on the nose. The fruit here is a bit stale and smashed. (JR)

Elegant, complex, and evolved, the saturated dark ruby-colored 1995 exhibits herb-tinged, black currant/weedy cassis-like flavors that are supple, round, generous, and appealing. This wine does not possess the power and density of fruit found in the 1996, but it is a delicious, reasonably priced claret that should have broad crowd appeal for a decade or more. A sleeper.
Very aromatic, with cherry, currant and flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Still tight. Needs some time.--'95/'96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2007. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2007
