Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Dark red. Subdued, fruit-driven aromas of bitter cherry, redcurrant, cedar, minerals and exotic spices. Vibrant and delineated, with superb flavor intensity and thrust. A wine of terrific clarity and structure. Youthful and elegant. Finishes with fine tannins and a subtle whiplash of flavor. If the Vina Real often reminds me of Burgundy, this is more Lafite-like.
