Tasting notes
Very dark fruit on the nose and very structured on the palate. This is a very serious d'Armailhac and certainly the best ever.

The deep purple 2010 d'Armailhac is a wine of great finesse, with an amazingly expressive bouquet of spices, cocoa, and roasted meat, all echoed in the layers of flavour that linger for a long time on the palate. According to the wine director of Mouton-Rothschild who guides the winemaking for this estate, this is the best d?Armailhac they have ever made. This is a very good value Bordeaux from 2010! asianpalate.com
d?Armailhac 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot produced a wine that opens with cedar, 5 spice, gravel and cassis scents. Filled with chocolate covered blackberries and sweet cassis, this wine offers depth and purity of flavor. This is the second strong vintage in a row for this Pauillac. winecellarinsider.com
Very strong and muscular d’Armailhac with mineral and currant character. Full, linear and toned. Very racy and long. Plenty of finesse too. It’s 55 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 29 percent Merlot, 15 percent Cabernet Franc, and 1 Petit Verdot. jamessuckling.com
About the producer

Ch. d’Armailhac is a Pauillac Fifth Growth owned by the Rothschilds, who also own Ch. Mouton Rothschild. Lavished with the same attention to detail and having benefitted from extensive investment in recent years, this estate can offer brilliant value in comparison to its First Growth sibling.
