Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2011-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2009

Attractive mellow Cabernet Franc perfume. Still quite firm tannins but not too dry. A more serious, more long-term rendition than most. (JR)

Score 88/100 · Drink 2005-2013, Robert Parker, Apr 2005

Always Burgundian-like to my palate, the 2002 is a successful effort for the vintage. Notes of roasted herbs, earth, underbrush, sweet cherries and red currants are noticeable in this spicy, medium-bodied, open-knit offering. It is ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. New owners, significant investments, and new packaging suggests a new image for l’Arrosee, an impressive terroir that began to slip in the nineties. Old-timers will no doubt remember the brilliant 1986, 1985, 1982, and 1961 ... all of which remain in fine form.
