Lots of development at the rim. Lively and round and lots of juicy fruit with a bit of rustic tannin. Pretty chunky but easy to like as soon as it’s poured. Dead traditional. Pretty dry on the finish though. Quite marked acidity. (JR)

This elegant, restrained, delicate 2001 lacks concentration, but exhibits earthy strawberry and cherry fruit notes with a touch of new wood in the background. Consume this medium-bodied wine over the next 5-8 years.
Slightly green notes on the nose, but very generous and round on the palate. Mid weight. Dry end. (JR)
Attractive berry and tobacco character in this medium-bodied, fresh red. Medium tannins that are refined and silky. Give this a few years before enjoying it. Best from 2006 through 2010. – James Suckling , Wine Spectator 2004
About the producer
Ch. l’Arrosée was a 9.5-hectare vineyard in Saint-Emilion. After the château was sold to Domaine Clarence Dillon (owners of Ch. Haut-Brion and Ch. la Mission Haut-Brion) in 2013, the wine was discontinued and the grapes are now used for Ch. Quintus.
