Tasting notes
Leather, fennel, black bramble fruit. Softer tannins than the 2009 – but not so open-knit in flavour. (RH)

From 100% Old Vine Grenache, the wine offers an oak, licorice, ripe, sweet, fat, jammy black raspberry, herb and black pepper filled profile with lush textures and a round mouthful of fruit in the finish. I\'d probably like this wine more if the oak was more subdued. 90 Points
Saturated ruby. An expressive nose offers scents of redcurrant, raspberry, spicecake, potpourri and licorice. Lush and open-knit, showing intense red berry compote, anise and floral pastille flavors brightened by harmonious acidity. Finishes with velvety tannins and excellent, spice-dominated persistence. Has the depth to age but offers plenty of upfront appeal.
(made entirely with whole clusters): Vivid ruby-red. Sexy, high-pitched aromas of raspberry, cherry, Asian spices and anise, with a strong floral quality gaining power with air. Ripe and palate-coating but energetic, with very good depth to its juicy red fruit flavors. The floral note builds on the finish, which features notes of allspice and clove. This alluring wine will be approachable young.
