1997 Grangehurst Hidden Valley Pinotage

Ruby-red. Vibrant aromas of sappy small red berries, dark chocolate and smoky oak, plus a pinot noir-like floral note. Fleshy, concentrated and intensely flavored. Strong berry fruit shows a primary grapey quality and noteworthy depth. This very young wine has the structure and balance to age, thanks to lively acidity and firm but even tannins.
