Tasting notes
Deep red. Sappy aromas of raspberry, strawberry and chocolate, with a suggestion of surmaturite Large-scaled, broad and sweet but not at all heavy. A very rich, creamy, enveloping wine that conveys a strong impression of soil character-not to mention old-vines concentration. Finishes with lightly dusty tannins and excellent length.

Good dark red. Musky, reduced aromas of black cherry and leather. Creamy-sweet and pliant, with captivating red and black fruit flavors lifted by new oak. Concentrated and fleshy, with its underlying structure currently covered by baby fat. A second sample from a new Allier "magic cask" showed more obvious verve and minerality, and very noble tannins for a Beaune wine.
