Tasting notes
The 2011 Hope Marguerite Chenin Blanc (named after winemaker Sebastien Beaumont's grandmother) has a waxy, dried pineapple and clove scented bouquet that has developed nicely in bottle, though there remains a touch of reduction. The palate is well balanced with a fine line of acidity cutting through the lightly honeyed fruit, just edging into secondary characteristics with a hint of nutmeg on the finish that just needs a little more persistence.

About the producer

Based in the Overberg, the Beaumont family has been quietly making exceptional wines for over two decades. The family first took over the farm in 1974, but it is under Sebastian Beaumont that the estate’s reputation has really soared, with particular recognition for its Hope Marguerite Chenin Blanc.
