Tasting notes
The 2004 Coeur de Cuvée has gained considerable weight, richness and resonance over the last few years. Brioche, almonds, marzipan, anise and dried flowers are some of the notes that flesh out in a radiant, super-expressive Champagne built on texture and class. The 2004 is every bit as impressive as it has always been. At eleven years of age, the Coeur de Cuvée is just entering an early plateau of maturity that is likely to last for at least a handful of years. Disgorged May 2012.

A totally dazzling wine, the 2004 Coeur de Cuvée (magnum) has acquired lovely complexity and nuance over the last few years. Mirabelle plums, savory herbs and crushed rocks all take shape in the glass in a Champagne loaded with aromatic nuance and complexity. The 2004 stands out for its remarkable precision and elegance. This is a great showing from Vilmart. This bottle was disgorged in August 2013. Dosage is 8 grams per liter.
2004 Coeur de Cuvée 1er Cru is vibrant, chiseled and drop-dead gorgeous. I love the energy here.
