Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Spicy aromas of framboise and fennel. Very dry, but chewy and tactile; quite closed and unevolved but shows substantial underlying weight. Not especially fruity or pliant today, but offers strong extract and a very long, subtle, vinous finish. A very distinctive Champagne that transcends rose.
