The 2025 Riesling Monzinger Halenberg Grosses Gewächs is Frohlich's expression of blue Devonian slate with quartzite. This year, that slate saltiness is immediately present and leads to a palate that is juicy. Lovely nectarine is framed by grapefruit zestiness, mouthwatering, generous and charming, not something you often write at this estate, with suppleness sitting above all that stone and substance. What a lovely monolith with fruity length. (Bone-dry)

A bit reductive at the moment, with lemons, the palate si subtle delicate, with a vibrant edge and delineated fruit. Drink now or hold.
