The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Champ Canet 1er Cru has a mercurial nose that eventually coheres to reveal appetising scents of lanolin, crushed stone and hints of egg whites. Wonderful definition. The palate is well balanced with a harmonious entry, nicely pitched acidity, hints of lemon curd and patisserie just lingering off stage. It maintains impressive linearity and should age well in bottle. Excellent. Bottled under Diam 10 Origine. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
