Score 93/100 · Neal Martin (Vinous)

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Cazetiers 1er Cru, matured in a single 400-liter ceramic vessel, includes one-third whole bunch, one-third destemmed and one-third berry-by-berry. This complex and mineral-driven bouquet unveils hints of red cherry, white-tipped strawberry and a little chalk. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy red fruit on the entry and flinty with hints of ash tincturing the finish. This is an intriguing wine that will be fascinating to see develop in bottle.
