Tasting notes
Offering up notes of plums, orange rind, spices and grilled meats, the 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Regnard (négoce) is medium to full-bodied, supple and charming, with lively acids and a bright, enveloping core of fruit. This has turned out very nicely.

The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Reniards, from purchased fruit, has a very attractive bouquet with brambly red berries, potpourri and light rose petal aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins. Lovely balanced here, lightly spiced with blood orange and black olive notes furnishing the sustained finish. Excellent.
A very fresh and ripe nose freely offers up its aromas of red and dark currant and pungent earth scents. There is more volume if less refinement to the medium-bodied flavors that are succulent to the point of being almost seductive before concluding in a firm, moderately rustic and sneaky long and solidly firm finale. Worth your interest. 89-91
