Score 93/100 · Neal Martin (Vinous), Jan 2026

The 2024 Vosne-Romanée Aux Brûlées 1er Cru is a tiny crop this year of just four barrels instead of a dozen in 2023. This has a relatively light, bashful bouquet at the moment that will hopefully gain more intensity by the time of bottling. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a keen line of acidity. Perhaps what is missing here is the amplitude of a great Aux Brûlées, much more linear than other vintages; therefore I will be prudent with my score.
