Cask sample. Solid rendition. But a tad raw. Chewy finish. (JR)

The 2024 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru was pre-blended in July so there is just one cuvée this year. It has an understated bouquet, mainly red fruit mixed with briar and light peppery scents, again one of those cuvées that deceives you into thinking there is some whole bunch. The palate is medium-bodied with vibrant red fruit, a touch of blood orange the 80% new oak neatly integrated. Again, this is a cuvée that might have the edge over the previous vintage.
