Tasting notes
The 2017 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is an attractive wine in its peer group. It has plenty of depth in its red cherry fruit, even if some grittiness remains. Red cherry, kirsch, spice and leather open in the glass. I would prefer to drink the 2017 over the next handful of years.

Aromas of dried strawberries, orange peel and white truffles follow through to a full-bodied, compact and tight palate with fine, dusty tannins and an intense finish. Hints of chocolate and toffee at the end. Really complex. Drink after 2024.
Bevi ora o invecchia.
Lovely aromas of perfumed berries, rose and forest floor lift out of the glass. On the elegant, linear palate, polished tannins accompany sour cherry, orange zest and star anise, while tangy acidity keeps it balanced. Drink 2023–2028. Kerin O’Keefe
