Score 91/100 · Neal Martin (Vinous), Jan 2023

The 2019 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is an attractive, entry-level Barolo that will drink well right out of the gate. Sweet dried cherry, spice, cedar, pipe tobacco, mint and orange zest lend notable aromatic presence to this understated, classy Barolo from Marcarini. Drink it over the next handful of years. This is a very pretty 2019.

Perfumed and fresh on the nose with strawberry and cedar aromas as well as some lavender. Medium-bodied with very fine tannins and a bright finish. Delicate yet firm. Better after 2026.

Elegante e decisamente suadente nel calice mostra note di ciliegie, succo di mandarino, pompelmo rosa e melograno. Corpo medio, tannini rotondi ed un finale dalla sottile chiusura amaricante. Meglio dal 2024.
