Tasting notes
Yields were devastated – just 6 hl/ha – meaning all of Moreau’s grand cru fruit was vinified together. Certified organic. Cask sample. A sad concept yet this is a charming and delicious Chablis Grand Cru with the fuller body and concentration one would expect. (AWH)

Boasts lovely aromas of lemon peel and nectarine accented with a floral note and a hint of spice. The domaine is something of a specialist in this left-bank terroir, with 5ha spread across seven parcels. It is made from the oldest vines, which gave a more substantial wine in 2024 than the classic Vaillon. Production was tiny – one barrel and one wine globe. This will drink well on release but can easily improve for a decade or more in the cellar.
The 2024 Chablis Village, which was taken from tank, has a light, fresh, marine-influenced bouquet that becomes quite smoky. The palate is lightly spiced, with fine weight, a citric finish and moderate length.
