The 2019 Pommard Les Vaumuriens Hautes, from a parcel of very old vines in this cool, high-altitude lieu-dit, is a new cuvée for Dugat-Py. Unwinding in the glass with notions of smoky berry fruit, plums and forest floor, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and concentrated, with a more reserved, tightly wound profile than the outgoing Beaune Grèves. It's a terrific addition to the range.
