Tasting notes
The 2025 Olivier Blanc offers orchard fruit, dewy meadow and light white flower scents on the nose, one of the white Bordeauxs that is a little reserved at the moment. The palate is well balanced, with a keen thread of acidity. Bright and tensile, I like the manner in which this builds and gains weight towards the harmonious, lightly spiced finish. Very fine.

A Sauvignon Blanc-dominant blend of 82% Sauvignon Blanc and 18% Sémillon that's being raised eight months in 25% new barrels and demi-muids, the 2025 Château Olivier Blanc offers ripe orchard fruits, sliced apple, and mint on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, it's nicely balanced and juicy, with clean acidity and outstanding length. Checking in at 13.9% alcohol with a pH of 3.09, it's an elegant, well-made Pessac-Léognan blanc in the making. Drink 2026-2028.
The 2025 Olivier Blanc is intriguing. Light on its feet but with very fine depth, the 2025 has much to offer. White pear, lemon oil, chalk mint and white pepper are finely sculpted in this tasty dry white.
About the producer

Ch. Olivier is one of the few actual castles in Bordeaux – coming with a moat and drawbridge. Since Alexandre de Bethmann took over here in 2012, the château has been given a new lease of life, with quality on the rise.
