Tasting notes
A Merlot-heavy blend of 76% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Petit Verdot that's resting in 25% new French oak, the 2025 Madame De Beaucaillou opens with ripe black cherries, graphite, crushed stone, and some smoky nuances. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a focused, structured, tannic style that still brings considerable purity, freshness, and elegance. This is going to be a serious Haut-Médoc that will reward a touch of patience.

The 2025 Madame de Beaucaillou is absolutely delicious. Bright and fresh in the glass, Madame captures all the vibrancy of this distinctive vintage. Red-toned fruit, blood orange, chalk and mint are beautifully delineated. Picking early ahead of the rains yielded an especially taut, nervy red that is quite contemporary in style and likely to find many fans. Cabernet Sauvignon is quite prominent in the blend this year.
