2025 Laroque

Tasting notes
There is an immediate aromatic draw from the glass. The 2025 concentration is there, carried by bright red and dark fruit, a fine mineral line and ripe, finely drawn tannins. Dense without weight, with no heat, viscosity or excess, this is a wine that captures the best of the vintage: freshness, balance, clarity and quiet seriousness.

The 2025 Laroque was picked between 10 and 19 September at 31 hl/ha and matured in 50% new oak. It has a sublime bouquet with pure black cherry and raspberry scents, crushed flowers and light iodine scents. Wonderful delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, a silver bead of acidity, bright and lively with an elegant and persistent finish. One of the best Laroques so far—the limestone soil really comes through and lends this Saint-Émilion another dimension.

The balance of savory fruit with fine tannins is already so attractive. It’s medium-bodied with fine tannins and a refined finish.
