The 2025 Lafleur-Gazin was picked 1 to 13 September and aged in 50% new oak. It has a pretty nose with brambly red fruit, though not complex. Nice definition. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, dark berry fruit laced with light mocha notes, not powerful, but there is fluidity on the finish. One of the earlier-drinking Pomerol wines.

A beautiful, layered Pomerol, the 2025 Château Lafleur-Gazin is all Merlot resting in 50% new barrels. Ripe red and black fruits, savory herbs, Asian spice, and lead pencil nuances all define the aromatics, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with solid mid-palate depth, ripe yet present tannins, and the concentrated, straight style of the vintage. It has beautifully balanced richness and should need just a few years of bottle age to shine.
The 2025 Lafleur-Gazin is a rich, heady Pomerol. Dark-fleshed fruit, mocha, leather, licorice and cloves convey plenty of darkness. There's plenty of breadth in the glass. I imagine the 2025 will drink well with minimal cellaring. The style is decidedly forward, almost lush.
The 2025 Lafleur-Gazin shows promise, wafting from the glass with notes of minty cherries, cassis and licorice, followed by a medium- to full-bodied, polished and charming palate that's fleshy, seamless and already nicely integrated.
