Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2027-2034, Neal Martin, May 2026

The 2025 La Tour Carnet Blanc comes from 1.42 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Matured in 50% new oak, it has a light nose with touches of yellow plum, pear drop and light apricot. The palate is well balanced, with fine acidity and an attractive texture; not amazingly complex, but fresh and vibrant, with a touch of stem ginger enlivening the finish.

Herbal and angular, combining nerve, freshness, texture and volume, giving length and flesh with a hint of salt. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon, aged half in new oak and half in first use.

The 2025 La Tour Carnet Blanc is a very pretty, exotic dry white. White peach, tangerine peel, passion fruit and a kiss of French oak all race across the palate. The Blanc is undeniably attractive. Stylistically, it is a bit more tropical and exuberant than the red, but that may not be much of an issue.
